Biggest Bust So Far- My WTF Team for RBs

Time for the WTFs at RB. I would like to take you back to our earlier picks and you will notice a few of these guys down the list aways. Most experts had them as first or second rounders.

Ryan "I Look Like Cary" Grant - He is just dying behind a studly OLine. Yes, they have played some tough Ds. Yes, some of the line has been dinged up. Who cares, you are sucking right now.

Willis "I Cried My Way Out of Buffalo" McGahee - He's been injured. Deja vu. Shame on you for picking him early.

Steven "I Have Been Playing Like Michael" Jackson - He is coming around. Most team owners that went with him early are probably sitting at 1-3. Thanks.

Notice all these guys were middle of the pack picks based on our theory.

O-Line the Fantasy Football Key to Winning, Week 4

Week 4 results:

The Big Uglies
QB Drew Brees 23.21
WR Donald Driver 0.40
WR Brandon Lloyd 1.65
RB Ryan Grant -1.20
RB Reggie Bush 1.90
TE Dante Rosario 0.90
W/R Tim Hightower 6.90
K John Kasay 7.00
DEF Buffalo 16.50
Total 57.26

Opponent
QB Aaron Rodgers 6.70
WR Patrick Crayton 4.35
WR Braylon Edwards 7.10
RB Thomas Jones 3.45
RB Steve Slaton 11.80
TE Bo Scaife 0.85
W/R Rashard Mendenhall 1.80
K Josh Scobee 14.00
DEF Tennessee 16.50
Total 66.55

Analysis: We said it last week, that the success of this team rests on the hammy of Ryan Grant. Will he turn it around this week against a terrible Atlanta run defense? We think he will. We're now 2-2 and 7th out of 12 in our league.

Week 5 advice:
Pick up Lance "I ain't Benched No" Moore. Against Minnesota's strong run defense, expect Brees to throw 40 passes in this game and Moore to get his share of the opportunities once again this week. Once Colston and Patton come back, Moore should remain in the slot, so he may be a good long term pick up as well.

Biggest Bust So Far- My WTF Team for WRs

OK. Looking back on our earlier predictions, I do in fact see some adjustments that need to be made, particularly our WR picks. So I will start with them:

Chad "My Mouth is Bigger Than My" Johnson - Enough said. Torn labrum. Big mouth. Uncontrollable ego. Still thought he'd be having a better year.

Braylon "Don't Drop Me Yet, I'm Gonna Blow Up" Edwards - I am still starting him because it is inevitable he will blow up. But WTF. All the prognosticators were saying he was in for a big year. Except this guy. Now or never Braylon. Take your place.

Randy "Build me Another Cassel" Moss - Well, we kind of know the reason here. Something tells me, his numbers would be better if Brady was hitting him down the sidelines in stride.

The rest of our WR picks are pretty much in line. Brandon "The Next Big Thing" Marshall is absent and that is a big miss on our part, but you can't be right all the time.

O-Line the Fantasy Football Key to Winning, Week 3

Week 3 results:

The Big Uglies
QB Drew Brees 13.42
WR Wes Welker 3.70
WR Donald Driver 3.80
RB Ryan Grant 0.70
RB Reggie Bush 18.00
TE Dallas Clark 2.35
W/R Tim Hightower 3.05
K John Kasay 5.00
DEF Buffalo 6.18
Total 56.20

Opponent
QB Donovan McNabb 4.82
WR Dwayne Bowe 8.15
WR Brandon Marshall 13.75
RB Marion Barber 11.85
RB Marshawn Lynch 17.70
TE Vernon Davis 0.85
W/R Darren Sproles 4.65
K Mason Crosby 10.00
DEF Indianapolis 4.04
Total 75.81

Analysis:
The Uglies team underperformed once again, but this time we were not lucky enough to pull off the win. Our opponent this week looks like it will be a definite playoff team. McNabb, Marshall, and Lynch are all studs so far this year. The success of the Uglies team moving forward, rests on the hammy of Ryan Grant...stay tuned. Right now, the Uglies are 2-1 and 5th place.

Week 4 Advice:
Rumor has it that Tim "Don't call me Moses" Hightower will be getting more work this week. Arizona plays the Jets this weekend and the Jets weak pass defense should set-up plenty of red zone opportunities. Play him if you've got him.

Waiver Wire Pick Ups

QB

Brady "I Am So Pretty, I Can't Stand Myself" Quinn - It's time. The Cleveland O-Line is one of the best. They have studs at WR and TE (and a capable back in Lewis). Unless Derek "I Am Not As Pretty as Brady" Anderson gets it going this week, we may see the heir apparent.

RB

Michael "I am Going to Score This TD, Then Go Run Over Soembody" Pittman - Matt is really big on Denver RBs so he is stockpiling. If it isn't Andre Hall who we suggested last week, I suggest Michael Pittman who is a complete TD hog and looks like it for the foreseeable future.

WR

Isaac "I am So Damn Old, I Need a Walker to Get Downfield" Bruce - Mike Martz system. Solid OL. He will perform. Probably better than either Cincy receiver right now.

O-Line: The Fantasy Football Key to Winning, Week 2

Week 2 Results:

The Big Uglies
QB Drew Brees 4.77
WR Wes Welker 3.60
WR Donald Driver 8.60
RB Ryan Grant 1.00
RB Reggie Bush 11.65
TE Dante Rosario 0.66 (benched Dallas Clark this week due to injury)
W/R Tim Hightower 8.20 (came off the bench this week)
K John Kasay 9.00 (dumped Mike Nugent)
DEF Buffalo 9.32
Total 56.80

Opponent:
QB Marc Bulger 1.99
WR Randy Moss 1.10
WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh 1.30
RB Larry Johnson 1.10
RB Edgerrin James 2.75
TE Chris Cooley 3.60
W/R Roy Williams 2.40
K Adam Vinatieri 5.00
DEF Pittsburgh 13.44
Total 32.68

Analysis:
The Uglies team definitely underperformed this week, but not as bad as our opponent. This particular opponent will have big issues. Lots of issues, but Randy 'I'll no longer get the Long Toss' Moss is the real bummer.....

Week 3 Advice: Start any NO and Denver players you have, that game will be a shoot-out in Denver.

Waiver Wire Pick Ups

With the Oline analysis still in mind (we will have more as far as trends go in a few weeks), we recommend a few pick-ups if they are available in your league:

QB

Aaron "How Do I Look Without My Wavy Locks?" RodgersThis is a no brainer if you saw him play Monday night against one of the leagues top Ds. He scrambled out of the pocket, spread the ball around and made good decisions. He is also always a threat to run. Favre who?

RB

Andre "I am a Complete Unknown" HallI know, never rely on a Denver RB. He didn't even score! But he was running at nice clips and a Mike Shanahan offense will put up big numbers, particularly with their QB finding his way.

WR

Devery "I am an SEC stud" HendersonOnly one catch, but it was for 84 yards and a TD. The more we think about it, the more we like Drew Brees to be the #1 QB this year. Lot of balls to be spread around that offense.

Who is the next Rudy?
